This course addresses NFPA 1041, Standard for Fire Instructor Professional Qualifications, Chapter 4, 2012 edition competencies at the fire service instructor I level. This course focuses on the presentation skills needed by new instructors delivering prepared lesson plans. Students will cover lesson plan preparation, presentation skills, using audiovisual equipment, identifying lesson objectives, questions, tests, and evaluation instruments.
Special requirements
This is an intensive course that requires the participants to complete nightly activities and prepare for a final presentation at conclusion of class.
