The MU Extension Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City invite you to our HUGE Plant & Garage Sale Fundraiser — a one-day event packed with plants, garden treasures, and unique finds for every home.

When: May 2nd, 9am - 3pm

Where: Habitat for Humanity (Next to Restore), 501 North Dodgion Street, Independence, MO 64050

Plant Sale Highlights

Choose from a wide selection of:

  • Perennials

  • Annuals

  • Vegetable starts

  • Herbs

  • Houseplants

Our knowledgeable Extension Master Gardeners will be on site to answer questions and help you select the right plants for your garden.

Garden & Garage Sale Treasures

In addition to plants, you’ll find gently used and specialty items including:

  • Garden pots and tools

  • Patio furniture

  • Garden art and shepherd’s hooks

  • Working mowers, weed eaters, tillers, trimmers, and wheelbarrows

  • Older windows for art or DIY projects

  • Appliances

  • Furniture and home furnishings

  • Antiques and collectibles

  • Housewares

  • Sports memorabilia

  • Digital flat-screen TVs

  • Children’s summer clothing (sizes 0–16)

Free Gardening Class

Take a break from shopping and join us for a free educational class, “Dividing Perennials,” at 11:30 a.m. Learn proper techniques to keep your garden thriving and expand your plant collection.

Supporting Local Education

Proceeds from this fundraiser support local gardening projects and educational outreach programs led by the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City, helping Kansas City learn to grow.
