Description

Cooking Matters for Child Care Professional is a virtual six session class that empowers adults with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to prepare healthy and affordable meals. This program specifically addresses the specific needs of child care providers who serve young children from limited-income families. Child care providers earn continuing education clock hours during these trainings that provides hands-on practice in their own kitchen, interactive discussions on ways to make healthy choices about food served to kids and practices such as how to involve kids in meal preparation.

Funded in part by USDA SNAP. Class is limited to those who meet income guidelines or are SNAP-eligible. To see if your child care program qualifies for this program, please contact Emily Barbee at (314) 400-7298 or [email protected].
