Description

Cooking Matters at Home is a culinary education program during which participants learn how to prepare healthy, delicious meals and stretch their food dollars by using foods they have available. This course is geared towards families with each class consisting of a brief nutrition lesson, group discussion, and hands-on learning while preparing a full meal in the comfort of your own home. Participants receive a small bag of groceries with the non-perishable ingredients needed to recreate one of the recipes from class each week.

This program was partially funded by USDA’s Supplemental Nutrition Program as part of SNAP-Ed, brought to you by Cooking Matters®. Participants must meet income eligibility requirements to participate. To find out more, contact 1-866-950-FOOD(3663).
