Description

Cooking Matters at Home is a culinary education course during which participants learn how to prepare healthy, delicious meals and stretch their food dollars by using foods they have available. This course is geared towards families and each class consists of a nutrition lesson, group discussion, and hands-on learning while preparing a full meal in the comfort of your own home. Participants receive a small bag of groceries with the non-perishable ingredients needed to recreate one of the recipes from class each week.

This program was partially funded by USDA's Supplemental Nutrition Program as part of SNAP-ED, brought to you by Cooking Matters, and is only available for those who meet income eligibility requirements. Please contact the St. Louis County Extension Office at (314) 400-7298 to see if your organization qualifies.

This course meets weekly over Zoom.
