The MU Extension Community Arts Program continues its series "Brave New World" in 2021. Brave New World is a series of three webinars held quarterly about best practices in planning for arts organizations, event producers, and artists.

This series runs monthly on Thursdays from May 6 - July 1, 2021, from 12-1 pm (Central).

We kick off on May 6 with "Planting an Arts Council in the Right Soil", with guests Michael Donovan of the Missouri Arts Council (MAC), and Lois Brace, of the Presser Arts Center in Mexico, MO. Join us for this informative Lunch-N-Learn!

Intended Outcomes:
a) Learn the components of what makes a “creative community”
b) Understand why the right “soil” is important if you’re thinking of starting an arts council
c) Setting the foundation for an Arts Council
d) Clarify the difference between what is and isn’t an arts council
