Celebrate Volunteers. Discover Opportunities. Grow Community.


Join us to celebrate our AmeriCorps Senior volunteers who facilitate the Extension Garden Steward course! We will also be sharing program impact and welcoming new volunteers interested in volunteering through gardening education and community outreach.


What’s Happening

  • Light breakfast & networking with volunteers and community members

  • Program highlights showcasing how Extension Garden Stewards support food security, environmental stewardship, and education

  • Volunteer recognition with certificates and acknowledgments

  • Hands-on learning stations: planting power, DIY seed tape, pollinator paradise, and soil sleuth

  • Sign-up & training area to register or update volunteer status, view AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP training videos, and explore upcoming opportunities

  • Extras: Soil test drop-off for active volunteers and giveaways while supplies last

Register by January 9 to receive a goodie bag and help us plan for food. On-site registration available.


Who Should Attend

  • Current AmeriCorps Senior volunteers

  • Adults 55+ living in Jackson, Clay, or Platte Counties interested in learning more about this program and volunteering
