2nd Annual Howell County Equine Conference

Description

This conference aims to bring horse owners together to learn science-backed information to improve horse health and farm management while getting to meet and socialize with other horse owners.

This year, Dr. Katlin Hornig of Gainesville Veterinary Hospital will speak about her perspective on colic, vaccinations, and parasite management. Also, Dr. Sarah Kenyon, MU Extension Agronomy Specialist will speak about forage and weed identification and management and Elizabeth Picking, MU Livestock Specialist will speak about getting started with rotational grazing and how that can benefit your horses and your farm. 

A meal will be served. If you have any dietary restrictions or other needs, please let us know at the Howell County Extension Center (417-256-2391) so that we can make accommodations for you.
