This four session series will focus on what needs to occur in the garden in the fall.  The four topics include Lasagna Gardening, Soils and Cover Crops, Season Extension and Tool Maintenance/Fall Cleanup.  

Aug 18 - Lasagna Gardening is a method that doesn’t require any digging or tilling and turns kitchen scraps, yard waste, and newspapers into layers of rich soil.

Aug 25 - Soils and Cover Crops will cover the basics of soil composition, soil testing and reading a soil test result to determine pH and nutrient deficiencies so you can adjust the soil in the fall for great spring crop growth as well as how cover crops can improve your soil health.

Sept 1 - Season Extension techniques of row covers, hotbeds and cold frames will help to keep the garden growing deeper into the fall for a longer harvest season.

Sept 8 - Tool Maintenance and Garden Cleanup will teach ways in which to both your tools and your garden "put to bed" for the winter.

The course will be held virtually via Zoom.  A Zoom link will be emailed to all registered participants.
