The 13th Evidence-Based Practice (EPB) on the Frontline Conference will explore how frontline nurses discover and use the latest evidence to enhance nursing care and improve patient outcomes. The focus is not on high level research but on how frontline nurses can practice in an evidentiary world.
Translating evidence into practice requires de-implementing practice standards that are no longer evidence based and implementing evidence-based interventions. Moving best evidence into practice can be easy but it requires a spirit of inquiry and desire to optimize practice through evidence-based translation. Frontline nurses from different hospitals will demonstrate how they conducted their EBP projects. The role of the mentor and implementation of organizational change will be discussed. Examples of how nurses were successful in getting the entire organization to adopt their suggested change.
