Ag producers needing to obtain or renew their private pesticide applicator license for purchase of restricted-use pesticides can attend the Private Pesticide Applicator Training being offered in Richmond. This license is valid for five years and participants must be 18 or older to receive the license. Training will be given on safe and proper use of agricultural pesticides.
Contact the Ray County Extension Center at (816) 776-6961 to reserve a seat, make accommodations due to a disability, or for more information.
Each household/family must own a Private Pesticide Applicator's Reference Manual (M87) to receive certification. The cost of the manual is $12. If you or an immediate family member already has a copy of the Reference Manual (2007 edition), please bring it to the training to waive the fee.
