This radio program is intended to educate viewers on a wide range of topics related to gardening in the Ozarks. Morris Westfall conducts the interview with Patrick Byers, MU Extension-Greene County regional horticulture specialist. The program airs several times on Saturday and Sunday on radio stations KWTO, KTXR, and KBFL.
Healthy Lifestyle Initiative -- Nixa (Session 24 of 25)

Three Rivers Beekeepers and the University of Missouri Extension Center for St. Charles County are offering an introduction to beekeeping class Friday and Saturday February 7 and 8, from 7:00 p.m. Come learn about the fascinating honeybee and learn whether beekeeping may be for you.
Introduction to Beekeeping - topics include locating the hive, getting stung, bee life cycle, hive live cycle, hive types, protective clothing, costs, plus more basic information.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training

A Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training will be held in February that is open to all interested adults and teens. Through this program you'll learn about emergency preparedness and basic disaster response skills, such as how to operate a fire extinguisher, light search and rescue, emergency medical operations. Using the training learned in the classroom and during exercises, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.
The three-day program will be held Feb. 4, 9:00 to 3:00; Feb. 11, 9;00 to 3:00, and Feb. 18, 9:00 to noon (this final day is a disaster simulation exercise).

More than half of all marriages end in divorce, and the majority of these involve children. Conflict between parents, both before and after a divorce, is associated with many negative outcomes in children. The purpose of this workshop is to help parents learn how to nurture and support their children during and after their divorce.
2 1/2 hour interactive workshop to help parents understand how to make divorce more successful for their children.

Classes are court ordered parenting classes for divorcing parents with minor age children, divorced parents who are filing a motion to modify, or never marrieds who are parents of a minor age child.
Fee can be waived by Family Court Administrator
