The UM/MU consolidation Transition Team, co-chaired by UM Executive Vice President Ron Turner and MU Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Brady Deaton, met for the first time with Interim Extension Director Designate Tom Henderson, Nov. 21. Members of the Transition Team are Pat Sobrero, UM associate vice president; Debbie Robison, MU interim vice provost for extension; Rhonda Gibler, UO/E director of administrative management; Tim Rooney, academic budget and research officer in the MU provost's office; Chris Koukola, assistant to the chancellor for university affairs; and Sandy Stegall, UO/E communications coordinator.
"I look forward to working with Dr. Henderson and moving forward with the Transition Team," Turner says. "Missouri extension is fortunate that Tom has made the commitment to assist in this very important effort."
Deaton and Turner will chair the Transition Team through Dec. 31, after which Henderson will take charge of day-to-day administration of extension, reporting to Deaton. In the meantime, Henderson is gathering information and reviewing issues that need to be addressed.
