Family and Community Resource Program evaluations selected for CYFARnet site

Three evaluations conducted by the Family and Community Resource Program were selected for publication on the CYFERnet website . The evaluations were written and analyzed by Elizabeth Dunn,

The Children, Youth and Families Research and Education Network is a national network of land-grant universities sharing resources to support community-based educational programs for children, parents and families. Resources posted on the CYFERnet website are peer reviewed by faculty from across the nation.

Telecenters host genealogy workshops

The Missouri TeleCenter Network launched a workshop series, "Introduction of Genealogy," Oct. 2. Sessions are being held throughout October at telecenters in Kirksville, Mexico, Nevada, Park Hills, Reeds Spring and Salem.

Individuals may participate in one or all sessions. Some 35 people participated in the first session. Topics include using military history, census data, Missouri State Archives, community resources and Internet searches; genealogy software packages; handling old documents; and publishing a family newsletter.
