Partnerships
Website showcases linkages with Health and Human Services

An "HHS Partnership" website has been established to show the connections between UO/E and the Department of Health and Human Services Region VII in Kansas City.

A team of UO/E program leaders has been meeting with HHS representatives from the Administration for Children and Families to determine ways the two entities might collaborate on educational programming and develop attendant funding opportunities. Among the shared priorities: fatherhood, healthy marriages, community-based initiatives, positive youth development, strengthening rural families and communities, and the next phase of welfare reform.

The Administration for Children and Families is responsible for federal programs that promote the economic and social well-being of families, children, individuals and communities. The Kansas City regional office serves Missouri, Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska.

Individuals who know of connections that should be added to the website should contact Tamra Robbins.
