The parade of 4-H'ers during 4-H Day at the
Royals, Aug. 31, was one of the largest ever
held at Kauffman Stadium.

About 900 4-H'ers -- 400 from Kansas, 450 from Missouri and about 50 from Oklahoma, Nebraska and Iowa -- braved downpours to participate in the first 4-H Day at the Royals in Kansas City, Aug. 31.

The parade of 4-H'ers marching around the field at Kauffman Stadium was one of the largest ever held there, says Michelle Taylor, WC 4-H youth specialist.

Taylor and co-organizer Kim Mehl, WC 4-H youth specialist, have received e-mails from families thanking them for an event that gave 4-H'ers and friends from across five states the chance to come together to enjoy fun and fellowship while bringing visibility to 4-H.
