The annual picnic and golf outing for University Outreach and Extension employees, retirees and friends is set for Sept. 26 in Columbia.
"You don't have to be a serious golfer to play," says Joe Lear, who is organizing this year's event. "In fact, you don't even have to know how to play. This is just an event for people to get together and have fun."
In the morning, a three-person scramble at A.L. Gustin Golf Course is set for 8:30 a.m. The picnic will follow at 1 p.m.
"Even if you don't play golf, come to the picnic," Lear says.
