Performance award nominations due Monday

Nominations for University Outreach and Extension performance awards are due July 21. The performance awards recognize excellence in carrying out the UO/E mission and contributing to the achievement of the 21st Century Strategic Direction.

A list of awards, criteria and nomination forms are available on the awards website. Applications should be sent to Vivian Mason, chair, Awards and Fellowship Committee, in care of 817 Clark Hall, Columbia, MO 65211.

UM long-distance rate plan extended to county offices

County offices may take advantage of the long-distance rates available through the University's contract with Qwest Communications. The plan features:

• State-to-state switched rates of .041 cents per minute
• In-state rates of .082 cents per minute
• Six-second minimum with one-second billing increments
• Toll-free and plus-1 calls at the same rates.
