4-H work-study program valued at $155,520

Thirty-six MU students will be working in county extension centers this summer through an arrangement with the Missouri 4-H Youth Development Program and MU Financial Aid. Students will work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks. Their work is valued at $155,520.

Council fiscal policy document updated

The Fiscal Policies and Procedures for County Councils. Under "Use of Public Funds," information has been added to include personal use of long-distance services.

"In recent months, we have become aware that should there be significant abuse of long distance telephone service by a council employee, the council has no recourse if they have not specifically addressed long-distance service in a policy," says Rhonda Gibler, director of administrative management.
