UO/E receives $13,770 in grants

University Outreach and Extension received $13,770 in grant awards during April. UO/E submitted proposal totaling $1,541,208.

Awards

Consensus and Dispute Resolution, $13,770 (new), from SRA International, Inc.; 1/1/03-12/31/03. A UO/E community development specialist will work with the Jefferson County Community Advisory Group of Herculaneum to facilitate public meetings on the environmental health of the community. Project manager: Mary Leuci.

Proposals

Emergency Operation Plans-Local Jurisdictions, $1,390,787 (new), submitted to the Missouri Office of Administration; 6/1/03 - 12/31/03. University of Missouri Outreach and Extension proposes to assist local jurisdiction in updating and revising emergency operation plans, using an all-hazards approach to emergency management with special emphasis on planning for a terrorist weapons of mass destruction event. Project managers: Mary Leuci and Eric Evans.

Update and Development of the MoDOT Socio-Economic Indicator Resource, $135,241, (renewal) submitted to the Missouri Department of Transportation MBE/WBE; 4/15/03 - 4/1/04. The Office of Social and Economic Data Analysis proposes to identify relevant social and economic data, and develop and implement authoritative information products and electronic applications for use by MoDOT employees in planning, project development, and for Title VI and environmental justice applications. Project manager: Lance Huntley.

Elders Count Service Plan (2003-2004), $15,000 (new), submitted to the St. Louis County Health Department; 4/1/03 - 9/30/03. OSEDA proposes to provide consultation and assistance in the development of indicators and analysis to create an "Elders Count" database. Project Manager: Bill Elder.
