Welcome to Ted Cunningham and Tom Fuhrman, who joined University Outreach and Extension, April 21.

Ted Cunningham |
Cunningham, regional livestock specialist in Salem, serves Crawford, Dent, Laclede, Phelps and Texas counties.
A native of Illinois, Cunningham received a master's degree in ruminant nutrition from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2002 and a bachelor's degree in animal science from Illinois in 2000.
From 2001-03, he worked with the Five-State Beef Initiative, coordinating regional sales of certified feeder calves in Illinois. He also coordinated collection of producer, feedlot and carcass data, which were used to advise producers on management considerations and marketing options.
Fuhrman, human development specialist in Moberly, serves Randolph County.

Fuhrman earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Truman State University in 1982. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he earned a master's and Ph.D. in educational and counseling psychology, specializing in family and marital counseling, in 1985 and 1992, respectively.
From 1999-2003, he was a clinical assistant professor at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and in 2000-01, he was interim coordinator for the Behavioral Healthcare Resource Program. From 1995-98, he was director of managed care and crisis services for Crossroad Behavioral Healthcare in Elkin, N.C. Fuhrman worked as a counselor of children, adolescents and their families in Moberly from 1991-95.
Fuhrman developed a six-hour curriculum, "Ethics: A Matter of Professional Character and Professional Practice," for counseling and healthcare professionals, while in North Carolina. He has authored and presented a variety of papers at national conferences.
A native of Moberly, Fuhrman will give the commencement address to Moberly Area Community College graduates, May 15.
