ACE/NETC to be held in Kansas City

The 2003 Agriculture Communicators in Education/National Extension Technology Conference will be June 14-17 in Kansas City, hosted by Kansas State University. "Cool Bytes/Jazz Nights" will feature research and breakout sessions and in-depth workshops on technology and communications topics.

UO/E will be represented among the presenters. TCRC staff Nat Jaeggli, interim coordinator, Kirksville; Nellie Lamers, IT extension associate, Tri-Lakes; Patrick Shaw, IT extension associate, Mexico; and Claudette Roper, interim coordinator, Mineral Area, will present a breakout session, "Room Design and Integration-Maximum Flexibility and Minimum Investment," which will look at cost-effective ways to make videoconferencing rooms functional and flexible.

Registration is $325 before May 5 and $375 thereafter. Registration is due by May 31. UO/E regional faculty may apply for professional meeting funds to support their attendance. Up to $600 is available annually or $1,000 every two years.
