Next council development topic due in June

The rollout for the next Council Leadership Development module -- "Be an Effective Council Member" -- will be in June, says Tony DeLong, co-chair of the Council Leadership Development Committee.

The module was piloted with the NW Regional Council April 17 and will be piloted with the SW Regional Council April 22.

"The committee has received many positive comments on the orientation materials," says DeLong, who also is chair of the Missouri Extension County Council Leadership Council.

New topics will be introduced about every two months through the end of the calendar year, says DeLong. The training and information modules will address topics related to the council's responsibilities for educational programs, governance and membership. Development of the modules is being timed to coincide with specific council functions.
