UO/E Week resources available on website

Resources for University Outreach and Extension Week 2003, May 18-24, are available on the web. This year's emphasis is "Communicating Value, Making Connections."

This year's objective is to communicate the value and benefits of extension education to leaders and members of the community. The key message is that University Outreach and Extension is a valuable, community-based educational resource that improves people's lives.

The UO/E Week Committee is working on developing key messages and strategies to communicate with key audiences - legislators and other stakeholders, new residents with an emphasis on immigrant populations, former council members, one-time/casual users, UM alumni and current students, and the media. Specific ideas for legislators are available on the website.

A limited number of two promotional items from previous outreach and extension weeks -- "We Bring it All Together for You" Missouri connection puzzles and "Extension Firsts" placemats -- are available to councils on a first come-first served basis. To order, send an e-mail message to Extension Communications with the number requested and mailing information.
