The deadline for 12 Martin Luther King Jr. mini-grants to support implementation of educational activities that exemplify King's philosophy of non-violence and community service are due March 7. University Outreach and Extension will provide 12 grants of up to $400 to implement the Carry-On Suitcase Project and RETHINK Anger Management in the community.
The mini-grants require local matching, including cash, non-cash or in-kind contributions. Grants will be awarded competitively. Regional extension specialists and LU Cooperative Extension specialists may apply for both grants.
Additional information is available on the Family and Community Resource Program website or by contacting Tammy Gillespie, Family and Community Resource Program project director. Applications must be submitted electronically to Gillespie by March 7. All applicants will be notified of their application status, March 14.
