ITV sessions prepare council members to communicate with decision makers

The 7-9 p.m. session on Feb. 6 - to be repeated on Feb. 13 - will feature discussion by Jim Snider, UM assistant to the president for state governmental relations, on the protocol for communicating with legislators. Rep. Vicky Riback Wilson, Columbia, and Sen. Doyle Childers, Reeds Spring, will share ideas about how to communicate with legislators. MECCLC Chair Tony Delong and Alumni Alliance Chair-elect Sandy Sands will discuss the Legislative Day agenda and the importance of council participation. Ron Turner, executive vice president and director, will focus on the current budget situation and UO/E’s value to citizens.

The Council Leadership Development Committee also will introduce new council orientation materials during the sessions.
