Dear Friends and Colleagues:
In support of the MU Office of the Dean of Graduate Studies, I am asking you to suggest the names of individuals in your local community who have received extraordinary recognition for their work as innovative teachers or administrators. The recognition may be national or statewide in nature, and should have supported creative pedagogies designed to reduce learning gaps or introduced new technologies to the classroom in K-12 or post-secondary colleges and universities.
The real key is that we would like to identify those individuals who have received advanced degrees, such as an M.S., M.A., M.Ed., Ed. Specialist, Ed.D. or Ph.D. from a Missouri university. Such a graduate from a University of Missouri campus, including MU, would be great. We are obviously trying to show external stakeholders some of the contributions made by those individuals who have pursued graduate studies within the state.
If you have a nominee for such recognition, please send me an e-mail at muextvp@missouri.edu with just a few paragraphs describing these extraordinary teachers and administrators.
Your assistance in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated by Vice Provost Suzanne Ortega and me.

Interim Vice Provost
and Director of Cooperative Extension
