Microsoft  FrontPage 2000
Summary of Changes

I.  Interface

The FrontPage interface has changed significantly with the release of FP2000. Instead of having two separate windows, the Explorer and Editor, both are combined into one window with more Views, that allow you to switch between seeing folders and seeing the page you are editing.

In the Page View, where you edit web pages, there are three panels in the window: the Views, the Folder List and the page you are editing. This takes up more of your screen, but you can reduce the size of the panels by grabbing the divider bars and moving them.

Image: FrontPage 2000, Page View with Folder List This is the Page View where web pages are edited, and the Folder List is visible. You can navigate your folders on the left and drag & drop images or other files onto your web page.

You can turn the Folder List off by clicking View --> Folder List on the FrontPage menu bar.

Image: FrontPage 2000: Page View without the Folder List This is the Page View again, but the Folder List is turned off so that you have more visual workspace for editing your web pages. The Formatting and Standard toolbars are visible.
FrontPage 2000: Folder View This image shows the Folders View, where you can see all the folders in your Web on the left and all the files within the folders on the right.  Use this view when you want to rename files or move files from one folder to another.
