Page Properties
Every
object in the FrontPage Editor has properties. The most basic of these are the
Page Properties, where you control the background color/image, text and link
colors, page title and other parameters.
To access the page properties:
GENERAL tab
Here you can specify a title for your page. This will appear in the browser's title bar (the very top, usually bright-colored bar). You can also change this user-friendly title when you select "Save As."
BACKGROUND tab
Here you can:
When you are working with a set of pages that will all have the same graphical background and text colors, you can use the "get background information from another page" option. Just set up the colors the way you want them in your main page. On all the other pages, just check this option and choose the main page as the file to get the color specifications from. That way, if you change the colors on the main page, all the others will change automatically. |
MARGINS tab
The parameters in the MARGINS tab are currently only supported under MS Internet Explorer 3.0 and above. They will not work in Netscape.
CUSTOM tab
Here you can add keyword information about your page.
Do the same thing again and type description in the "Name:" line and then type a one or two sentence description of your page or web site in the "Value:" line.
Adding keyword data to your pages will facilitate search engines indexing them so users are more likely to find it by searching on related words.
