4-H logoUniversity of Missouri Extension's 4-H educational program empowers young people to reach their full potential while working and learning in partnership with caring adults. As one of the nation's largest youth organizations, 4-H reaches youths, ages 8 to 18, in rural, urban and suburban settings, helping them become competent, capable, caring and contributing members of society.

Through 4-H, boys and girls develop
   .....their Heads for clearer thinking,
   .....their Hearts for greater loyalty,
   .....their Hands for larger service,
   .....their Health for better living.

To join a 4-H club or for information about 4-H in Webster County, contact Jeannie Moreno, youth program assistant in Webster County.

4-H Clubs

A club is an organized group of youngsters between ages 8 and 18 in a certain geographic area of the county. The 4-H program year runs from September 1st through August 31st.  Business meetings are usually held monthly.  The members run the club, elect officers, and develop their own programs and goals.  Adults assist as volunteers by teaching one or more of the 150 individual projects available. 4-H Clubs also hold recreational activities and community projects where the whole family is involved.

A club called 4-H Clover Kids Program is also available to introduce 5, 6 and 7-year-olds to a wide variety of 4-H experiences.
