Master Gardeners of the Ozarks

Master Gardeners of the Ozarks is based in the Stone and Taney County area with close to 100 active residents who participate. Master Gardeners are trained by University of Missouri Extension to provide research-based gardening infomation and volunteer in their communities.

 Master Gardeners of the Ozarks Kimberling Area Library Garden Program

The Master Gardeners of the Ozarks will again be offering gardening classes at the Kimberling Area Library. Each session is on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Classes and dates are:

May 7                  Introduction to Herb Gardening by MG Laurie McCann

June 11               Growing Roses in the Ozarks by MG Bill Greet

July 9                 Butterfly Gardening: Attracting Winged Beauties by MG Tom Riley

August 13           Pass Along Plants: The Tradition of Sharing by MG Marva Ramsey

All sessions are in the community room at the Kimberling Area Library and are free and open to everyone as part of community education sponsored jointly by the library and Master Gardeners of the Ozarks, volunteers with the University of Missouri Extension, www.mgozarks.com

Brown Bag Lunch Garden Series 2014, at the Taney County Extension Center

The Master Gardeners of the Ozarks will be hosting their 'Brown Bag Lunch' gardening series again this year.  Classes will be held on the first Tuesday of each month at noon in the demonstration garden located at the Taney County MU Extension Office in Forsyth.  These classes are free and open to the public, so pack your lunch and join them in the garden for these casual, informative programs.  This year they will be introducing two new Saturday classes that will begin at 10 a.m. also.  Brown Bag Lunch Garden Series flyer

 Front Porch Conversations with Garden People

Seasonal casual monthly gatherings are being held on the 2nd Thursday of the month, 7:00 p.m. at the Cassville Library, lower level. These meetings are free and open to anyone interested in learning more about gardening.
