Location: From Potosi, MO take Highway 21 to Washington State Park. The trailhead for the 1000 Steps Trail is located off of the Lodge parking lot. Click Here for Map

Distance: 1.5 miles

Difficulty: Moderately Difficult

Details:  This trail gets it's name from the 1000 stone steps created in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The steps lead you up at a significant slope and can be intimidating in spots. The scenery once you get to the top though is breathtaking. Because of the steep climbs and fairly dangerous nature of this hike, we do not recommend it for families with small children.
