Raising Fit Kids

Many children and young people today are not developing positive eating and physical activity habits that are key to becoming healthy adults. Raising Fit Kids is a two-part program that will focus on what caring adults can do to help young people grow in healthy ways and feel good about themselves.

Raising Fit Kids will help you:

  • Get a down-to-earth view of what research tells us about children’s eating and activity patterns.
  • Understand how a focus on health benefits everyone regardless of size or shape.
  • Recognize the benefits of a health promotion approach to eating and weight issues.
  • Learn skills and techniques to help children develop healthy habits.
  • Obtain information about resources to use in working with children
