| Welcome to University
of Missouri Extension! We're
pleased that you have joined our team,
and we look forward to working with
you.
Our new faculty development process is designed to prepare you for successful
employment with University of Missouri Extension. Because we want
you to get off to a good start in your
career with us, our office will be
working with you to assure that you
understand your assignment and feel
comfortable in your new
position. Your Regional Director
has also appointed a support team
for you to help you make the
transition.
New faculty development offers numerous
opportunities to learn about the job,
to hone your technical and teaching
skills, to learn about resources
available to you, and to develop
supportive relationships to help you
become successful. It extends
over a two year period --- a window of
opportunity for you to develop your
confidence as an Extension specialist.
During that time you and your Regional
Director will determine your training
needs and he/she will advise you about
the various aspects of our orientation
program.
In the meantime, please use this
website to learn more about the
new faculty development process, to answer your
questions, and to develop your
knowledge of MU Extension. The links we have
developed are designed to meet your
needs. Our new faculty development staff are here
to assist you also. Please contact us
at anytime with questions,
suggestions, and your ideas. We value
your input.
