Specialist's Role in Marketing
Regional specialists
wear many hats - teacher, facilitator,
collaborator, partner, co-learner,
etc. - all of which require us to be
good marketers of ourselves, our
programs and University of Missouri Extension.
To be successful, we
must present ourselves from the
customer's view and educate people
about the benefits of our programs and services improve
their lives. Each encounter is an
opportunity to deliver that message,
whether it's during a phone call or
teaching a workshop.
- Purchase and use University
of Missouri Extension marketing
items
- Distribute general University
of Missouri Extension brochures
with handouts.
- Follow graphic standards.
- Wear your University of Missouri Extension nametag at Extension
events; provide nametags with the extension logo for
workshop, seminar and conference
participants.
- Use University of Missouri Extension presentation folders for
handouts.
- Use an introductory visual
(e.g., University of Missouri Extension logo in slide, overhead
or computer-based presentations).
