Shannon
County CHART (Community Health Assistance Resource Team) is an
interagency organization that works in various groups such as seniors, adults, teens, and
infant/children. They identify areas of concern and design activities and projects
to address those issues. They have helped sponsor Body Walk- a 25'by 30' walk
through exhibit representing the human body.
The Basics of Babysitting is an all-day workshop offered in
the class schedule or on a Saturday. This workshop is geared for beginning level
babysitters ages11-14 and covers safety, simple first aid, snacks and meals, and
activities.
EXCEL- Experience in Community
Enterprise and Leadership summarizes the objectives for
a class to build community leaders. It is a sixteen week course that includes activities
in demographics, regional problems and issues, Ozarks culture, the legislative process,
and education.
