Agriculture in South Central Missouri

Take your farm into the 21st century with tools from University of Missouri Extension to enhance profitability, strengthen communities and protect the environment.

Programs are offered in each county that meet the needs of local producers.   Forage, beef, dairy, and swine production are the main focuses of agricultural programming in the region.  The delivery format of these programs vary from multiple day workshops,  one night presentations, newsletters and articles, to individual consultations.   The regional staff work together to deliver multidisciplinary programs to meet the complex needs of local producers.

South Central Region Staff Members working on these areas include: Agricultural Business Specialist:  Stacy Hambelton,  Jim Thompson; Agronomy Specialist: Ted Fry, Vance Hambelton, Will McClain; Dairy Specialist: Ted Probert;  Livestock Specialist: Gary Applegate, Ted Cunningham, Randy Saner; Horticulture Specialist: Andy Read.
