4-H TRIPS

Missouri Youth Forum Workshop: Is open to 4-Hers who have completed the 8th grade or are 14 by trip time in June.  The workshop is held in Jefferson City, MO. Fees are determined annually.

Washington DC Focus:  Is open to 4-Hers 15 yrs old and over by January1st. There may be a local (Southeast Missouri) trip each year but youth wanting to attend can usually join some Missouri group.  The trip is to Washington DC and sometimes New York City is included. The cost is around $1400.

National 4-H Congress:4-Hers ages 14 and older must submit a"4-H Teen Application for Missouri Learning/Recognition Experience" form. This event is held in late November in Atlanta, Georgia.  Approximately 20-30 state winners will be chosen annually to attend.

Teen Conference:  This trip is open to 4-Hers ages 12&13.  The event is held in Columbia, Missouri for two days and one night (weekend trip). Cost ranges around$110.00.

IFYE Trip: International trips are available to a variety of ages.  IFYE Ambassadors for ages 15-18yr olds, 4-H LABO Japan is for ages 12-18 yr olds. Costs vary depending on how long the trip is and to where you will be going.

Kansas City 4-H Global Conference: This trip is open to  4-Hers ages 14 & older.  The event is held in Kansas City, MO  in March. Cost to each is around $275.00.

Global Village Experience 2008:  Sponsored by Missouri 4-H and the Heifer International Project. Get a taste of the real world at the Heifer International Ranch; the Global Village gives groups and individuals an opportunity to experience realities of life for most of our world neighbors.  This is a powerful and life-changing experience.   When:  June 19-June22nd at Heifer International near Perryville, AR for 4-Hers 14 & older.  Cost is approximately $75.00-100.00.  Registration is due March 1st.
