of Missouri Extension's 4-H educational program empowers young people to
reach their full potential while working and learning in partnership with caring
adults. As one of the nation's largest youth organizations, 4-H reaches youths,
ages 8 to 18, in rural, urban and suburban settings, helping them become
competent, capable, caring and contributing members of society.

The purpose of the 4-H Council is to:
- Give guidance to county program planning by
interpreting needs
- Establish needed policy
- Plan and coordinate with county events
- Plan and cooperate with county extension
personnel in leader training
- Suggest areas and potential leadership for
expanding and carrying on 4-H club work
- Develop a plan for raising funds to support
the council's financial needs
