Fulton or Marshall, Mo
Safeguard your Savings is a great update going into the new year to remind you of the principles of saving and investing and how to apply them in today's economy. Six sessions to choose from (3 in Fulton and 3 in Marshall)!
The one-session workshops will be hosted at the Callaway County Extension Center and also at the Saline County Extension Center. Pick the location, date and time most convenient for you. Register by calling the Callaway County Extension Center at 573-642-0755 or the Saline County Extension Center at 660-886-6908. Register at least 5 days prior to the workshop. There is no cost to attend. We appreciate the funding of the Secretary of State and the Investment Protection Trust in Missouri for these workshops.

Thanks to Saline County United Way, there is no cost to attend. We often have participants driving in from other counties to attend.

Thanks to the Carroll County Extension Council, there is no cost to attend. All classes held at the Carrollton Library, 1 N. Folger (northwest corner of the square). Sedalia, Mo. Take Control of Your Finances (PDF) workshop presented monthly in Sedalia for people who are unemployed or who find their resources are just not adequate. Any adult can attend as long as he or she registers by calling the Sedalia Career Center at 660-530-5627 prior to the workshop. There is no cost to attend. All classes are facilitated by MU Extension Family Financial Education Specialist Cynthia Crawford.

Homebuyer Education (U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development)
This two-hour seminar helps first-time homebuyers qualify for USDA rural development home loans. Your lender will let you know if you need to schedule this seminar. Seminars are scheduled on demand. Our goal is not to delay real estate closing for lack of a certificate, but the specialist's schedule can be a factor. Contact the specialist in the location most convenient for you: Vivian Mason, PhD (Fulton) or Cynthia Crawford, PhD (Marshall). There is a $60 fee for the seminar. You will leave the seminar with the necessary certificate in hand. There is no test.
