With charts, diagrams and graphs, this 219-page manual details estrus synchronization in beef cattle. The CD-ROM contains PDF and PowerPoint versions of the guide as well as an order form for more copies of the CD or the print version. It gives basic information on the physiology and endocrinology of the estrus cycle and covers these estrus synchronization programs: Prostaglandin F2a (PG), GnRH-PG, Melengestrol acetate (MGA), EAZI-BREED CIDR Cattle Insert. There is also information on these timed artificial insemination programs that are based on estrus synchronization techniques: Ovsynch, Co-Synch, Co-synch plus CIDR, GnRH-PG plus CIDR and Melengestrol acetate. Last, this guide offers points of consideration on the implementation of the artificial insemination programs.
