The Amur maple is a small, round-headed, extremely hardy tree. Its red fall
color is as brilliant as any of the maples. The winged seeds often hang onto the
tree after the leaves have fallen, adding interest to the tree in winter. It is
one of the best of the small trees, requiring practically no attention and able
to grow in a wide range of soil types.
