This set of five DVDs presents information from the Missouri Woodland Steward workshops. They also serve as course materials to accompany MU Center for Distance and Independent Study's Missouri Woodland Steward course. The DVDs are labeled one through four, corresponding to each of the four sessions. The fifth DVD contains the prologue movie, PowerPoint, Word, and PDF files.
Missouri Woodland Steward was developed as a way for Missouri landowners to become familiar with basic forest and wildlife management concepts and how to integrate both forms of management on their property. The course follows information found in the Missouri Department of Conservation's Forest Management for Missouri Landowners. Another good Department of Conservation reference is Wildlife Management for Missouri Landowners. Both publications are included is these DVDs as PDF files.
