Applicant must have been a Platte County 4-H Member for at least four
(4) years and be enrolled in post-secondary education or training.
Graduate study is not allowed. Present and former 4-Hers may apply.
(Must show proof of enrollment in school or training before receiving
scholarship.)

Applicant must be a
graduating senior or have a high school diploma or equivalent with a "C"
average or above and be between the ages of 17 and 22 (4-H Age). (A form
letter will need to be signed by a high school official. Verification of
passing GED will be allowed.)

Scholarship is for a
total of $500 per year, but may be divided and awarded to two 4-Hers at
$250 each.

Someone may apply more
than once even if they have been awarded a scholarship, but that will be
taken into consideration in the awarding of future scholarships.

Selection Committee will
consist of one Extension Council member, one 4-H Council member and one
4-H Alumni. Names for the Selection Committee will be submitted to and
approved by the 4-H Council yearly.

Selection will be based
solely on 4-H participation and contribution.

Scoring: Section B - 30
points, Section C - 30 points, Section D - 30 points and Section E – 10
points.

What should be included
in each section? Examples: Section B - Projects; Section C - Project
Leader for, Committees served on, Offices held, Activities helped with,
etc.; Section D - County/State/National events and awards, etc.

Notification of
availability of scholarship will be through news releases in local
papers an the 4-H newsletter.

Scholarship winner will
be announced in May and awarded at the County Fair.
