Focus on Kids

Focus on Kids is a court-mandated program for divorcing parents who have minor children.  More than half of all marriages end in divorce, and the majority of these involve children.  Conflict between parents, both before and after a divorce, is associated with many negative outcomes in children.  The program emphasizes understanding the importance of sustained involvement by both parents.  The two and one-half hour workshop includes the effect of divorce on children, children's reactions to divorce, helping children cope with divorce, and effective co-parenting.
