B.C.T. Grants What are B.C.T. Grants? B.C.T. stands for Building Community Together and is a Teen Council project. It started as a national initiative from the University of Wisconsin Extension promoting youth leadership and youth/adult partnerships which impact local communities through service projects that address important issues and build community pride. Grants are made for $50-$500. Funds must be used for direct operation of a service project. There is no deadline for submitting a grant application. They are made on a first come, first served basis until funds are depleted. After reviewing applications, Teen Council invites youth from the group to present the idea before the board in person. Grant award decisions are made on a monthly basis. All projects must be completed within 6 months after a grant is awarded. Teen Council has already helped many organizations to do service projects with these grants. In the past seven years, Teen Council has distributed over $10,000 to the organizations and projects below. Funds are still available. Grant application
