University of Missouri Extension professional development encompasses activities related to the overall professional improvement of regional and campus extension faculty and staff. The employee and the organization share responsibility for professional development, which includes an array of experiences designed to assist faculty members in developing skills and expertise throughout their careers, from orientation through retirement.
