The East Hills Farmers' Market is located at the southeast corner of the East Hills Shopping Center at Frederick and Woodbine. It is open every Wednesday and Saturday from 7 a.m. -1 p.m. The market begins the second week in April and closes the first week in November.
There are about 25 vendors at the East Hills market and most of the items for sale are produced on their own farms. Seasonal produce items such as asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, strawberries, radishes, beets, sweet corn, green beans, rhubarb, squash, apples, peaches, carrots, blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries are available. Bedding plants, cut flowers, baked goods, frozen meat and prepared meat products are also available. In the fall some craft items made locally will also be available.
During the season some special events such as radio broadcasts, contests for kids, clown parades, pumpkin throwing contests, and cider making are held to attract and entertain customers.
