Drought Resources

Drought affects Northwest Missouri from time to time. 2012 broke records for both heat and drought. Although not as severe in 2013, drought returned again for a second year. Much of north Missouri remained in moderate drought at the start of 2014.  After periods of abnormally dry conditions as well as drought in 2017, Northwest Missouri entered 2018 abnormally dry. Conditions did not improve, with drought stages starting early in the year.
