The Department of Economic Development is working to help Missouri residents make the state a world-class place to live and work. Its programs are directed towards creating and sustaining economic security and opportunity, fostering livable communities, and ensuring the high quality of essential services.
The Northwest Regional Office is the point of contact for the programs of the department. The regional staff work with business and community leaders to help them utilize the resources available from the state to support local development efforts.
The regional office houses specialists in Existing Business Development and Community Development. The regional Business Development Manager works directly with businesses and communities in retaining and expanding job opportunities and investments. The regional Community Development Specialist helps communities organize, plan, and gain access to resources to further their community improvement activities.
